KRD

 

In my opinion, KRD subject that currently taught by Dr. Suzana is very interesting, Its because the subject overall covered topic in finding volume and concentration from designed reactor, which gains my interested especially the part of stoichiometry equations. We all have been taught about that in Form 5 in our secondary school and that maybe help me to understand more on this subject. Overall for this KRD subject so far has improved my understanding of reactors and its applications. 

 

About this course , I rated it as 2nd hardest in this semester. Same as other subjects, many new thing that I learn for here. The subject is much more on calculation which I like mathematic style, but not everything is easy. However, thanks to our lecturer, he is doing the best that he can to make we understand it easily. He has completely created something new for me ; learning through video which is this is the 1st time I face the learning style in UTP. Apart from that, we got so many thing as project, test and exercise which make us to understand it easily. My suggestion is that the lecturer need to maintain his style of learning because its fun and comfortable.

 

Suggestion : Tutorial slot should also be taught by Dr Suzana. 

 

 

CPDIC

Most of the topic covered in this subject is about derivation of equation from a flow system. This part is very crucial when you start working in a plant as a chemical engineer in order to maximise the product that you working on .So if you cant understand it well, it can be said that you are dead man walking. Now I still striving to understand this subject well and I can say that this is a killing subject for this semester right now.

 

I learn a lot about new things in this most hardcore subject this semester. I have taken much more time to understand this subject but with the help of very good lecturer which explain one-by-one about the problem, I managed to understand it easily. She also has a good accent and it is really nice to listen her speaking in English. But still, this is the toughest subject among all.

 

Suggestion : More exercises based on lecture notes need to be done in class to make sure students understand                        more on this subject.

PSLP

This subject covered most on safety in plant. It’s a very interesting subject as it can make students aware of what will happened if the worker are less focus on being safe in their workplace. Besides, this subject mostly covered mathematics equation that are very straight forward. For example we just need to use simple equation to calculate leak volume from a tank which it can be said that much more easier than the other two subjects.

 

 

For PSLP, I think this course is awesome and easy even for the second part. The lecturer also have taught us using great method which is always got assignment in the class to exercise us more.I think the techniques is very suitable like me as I can remember something faster if I wrote about it. Plus, which this course is about safety, I glad I know much process safety which can help me very much in future wherever I go.

 

Suggestions : Should bring students to Plant to see real life situation.
