From data acquired:

Wasted being produced from TESCO = 300kg per day

 

Therefore, mass of feedstock per day = 300kg per day

 

1st assumption

Dry matter of the feedstock = 200kg per day

 

Hence,

Water content = 300kg per day - 200kg per day

                        = 100kg per day

 

2nd assumption

70% of the dry matter is organic compound.

 

Hence,

Ash = 30% x 200kg/day = 60kg per day

Organic dry matter = 70% x 200kg/day = 140kg per day         

 

3rd assumption

All the organic dry matter will be decomposed into biogas.

According to California Energy Commission, biogas is typically 55 to 75 percent pure methane. Therefore, 73 percent can be accepted.
